5 new nodes make their way into Designer! In this release we’ve focused on raytracing techniques applied to 2D textures. We can’t wait to see the beautiful and crazy creations you come up with! In the meantime, get inspired by these beauties, made with Designer during beta testing: This is only the first release of the model graph and there are many things we want to add and improve already, so please don’t hesitate to provide us with any feedback to help us do just that. You can now export your model and keep tweaking it until you get the perfect render. The Substance model graph can be opened in Substance 3D Stager, Adobe’s new staging and rendering app. You can work on your model graph and material graph at the same time, seeing the result in the 3D viewport. The possibilities are endless! Here are some examples: Use a variety of nodes to multiply, add, merge and create variations of your geometry. You can also import your own models and add in the details with procedural geometry. The concept is simple: play around with basic shapes, merge them together in a kitbash manner, and expose different parameters to make your models completely parametric. We’ve added a whole new Substance model graph to Substance Designer, allowing you to create fully procedural models. Users can now also set the animation frame rate, ensuring the correct playback speed for playback and video export, and display frame settings as timecode.Substance model graph: expand your procedural mind! Most importantly, this lets you edit your scene while previewing an animation, greatly speeding up your overall workflow. This updated version of Stager includes a range of animation improvements. Stager can export and import full scenes through USD, including Stager specific data like ground plane settings, backplates and more. It is now enabled by default in Render mode and should result in blazing fast renders.Ī welcome enhancement to Stager is improved support for the USD file format, allowing a comprehensive round-trip workflow between Stager and other apps within the Substance ecosystem, as well as third party apps. Imagine rendering your product shots! With the new AI powered denoiser leveraging the GPU, you can deliver high quality renders in a fraction of the time it would typically take to render an image.
